Hello, I’m Peter Dinh and I’m currently in the Broadcasting TV and Communications Media program at Mohawk College. I am passionate about bringing ideas to life and helping people to tell their stories through film and TV. I enjoy challenging myself creatively to present ideas in novel ways to connect people and love creating art of many forms.
I have working experience in using professional programs, including Adobe Creative Cloud suite (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition), Final Cut Pro X, Procreate digital illustration with iPad Pro, Logic Pro X, DaVinci Resolve Studio and Avid Media Composer, to visually enhance communication. Additionally, I am an Avid Media Composer User Certification holder.
I currently work at the Mohawk College Marketing Department as the Multimedia Coordinator where I direct, script, film and edit various media projects for Mohawk College, including interviews, marketing campaigns, short films, social media videos and instructional videos to support and enhance students’ college experience. I also design motion graphics animation for the college’s branding and provide guidance to Marketing Department staff on video story concepts, technical video production, editing and social media advertising features (e.g. livestreams).
Furthermore, I Have been the handheld camera operator at live broadcasted Mohawk College sports games, and have recently helped organize and co-lead the first-ever Mohawk College 24-Hour Film Festival competition. I have worked on various short documentaries, promotional videos for local businesses, short film storyboarding, and motion graphics and character illustrations for social media brand usage.
